Kanitra Hatton

BIOGRAPHY:  Kanitra Hatton is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree with a concentration in Graphic Design Leadership Studies  from Hampton University. Kanitra also has a Master of Fine Arts concentration in Media Design from Full Sail University. Her current occupation is Marketing Coordinator at Grove Church. In addition to this position, she is the owner of KLDesigns & More, LLC. Kanitra has always like drawing and doodling since she was young. Because of her love for commercial art and my artistic abilities, her future goal is to continue furthering her career as a Graphic Designer and entrepreneur. Attending Hampton University and Full Sail University have helped her to achieve her goals by providing an outstanding education and learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. 

Along with her passion for the arts, Kanitra has a passion for fitness, living a healthy lifestyle, and giving back to the community. At Hampton University, she ran on the Women’s Cross Country/ Track and Field Teams. Running has been a part of her life for over 10 years and she plans to keep this counting. Her greatest accomplishments are becoming a member of the Golden- Key International Honour Society and being a WDC Harvey Scholar.

Furthermore, Kanitra has been an active volunteer for over 12 years with numerous organizations. Some organizations include: The Virginia Living Museum, Gail Harts Performing Art Center, ACS Relay for Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and Oasis Feed the Hungry.
