Donté Owens

BIOGRAPHY: Donté Owens began employment as an apprentice in 2000 with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and currently holds the position of Project Engineering and Planning Manager. He has experience in project management, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and team collaboration. 

In 2012, Donté was appointed to Portsmouth’s Museum and Fine Arts Commission where he served two consecutive terms. During his 2nd term, he served as the chairperson and played a vital role in establishing Portsmouth’s Arts and Cultural District.

Donté attends Grove Church where he serves on the Media Ministry. He attended Old Dominion University where he obtained a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
