Kiahnna Patterson

Kiahnna Patterson is an Emmy-winning morning anchor at WAVY-TV 10. She is from Newport News and an Old Dominion University grad. Kiahnna is proud to deliver the news in her hometown after growing up watching WAVY, then interning there, and returning to the station in 2018, where she worked overnight as the morning reporter for four years. She is a passionate advocate against domestic violence awareness. Her work was recognized by the National Coalition against Domestic Violence and the National Association of Broadcasters.

In addition to anchoring 4.5 hours of news every morning, she is also a podcast host for two shows ‘Mark Your Calendar’ and ‘The Group Chat’ with fellow Newport News native Tamara Brown. She recently served as the Hampton Roads Black Media Professionals (HRBMP) Events Coordinator, where she helped organize the HRBMP Holiday Party fundraiser. She also helped coordinate HRBMP’s participation in the 42nd Annual MLK Celebration in Virginia Beach, in partnership with the Hampton Roads Urban League.
